Amazon Advertising operates at the intersection of e-commerce and advertising offering a rich array of advertising solutions. We partner with advertisers to reach Amazon customers on across our other owned and operated sites like Prime Video and IMDb on other high-quality sites across the web and on devices. The Analytics & Insights (A&I) organization develops actionable insights using Amazons unique data to influence how advertisers promote their businesses. Our insights and measurement solutions enhance their marketing decision-making leading to them being measurably more successful with Amazon. The A&I organization consists of a variety of different practices which are groups that focus on different approaches to create these insights. We are currently looking for a highly skilled and motivated AU Strategy and Insights Lead to help scale our growing advertising business. The AU Strategy and Insights Lead is a key member of the team at Amazon Advertising taking a consultative approach building deep relationships with advertisers sales account management retail and other Amazon business partners to analyze and measure the success of advertisers performance on Amazon. On a daily basis Strategy and Insights Lead activities include analyzing metrics of success for a business or category combining cultural relevancy and data-driven analytics to shape brand insights recommendations communicating recommendations to senior stakeholders in a clear and compelling fashion actively share POV on market and industry to educate our clients and build trust. The strategic and consultative digital expertise a strong ability to spot emerging communication/technology trends and confidently articulate solutions to senior clients along with strong leadership in driving complex initiatives to force multiply are all critical to delivering customer success in this role.
Key job responsibilities
Leverage Amazons proprietary data tools and third-party research to uncover actionable insights develop expertise in proprietary metrics and continuously improve how insights are analyzed and communicated to advertisers.
Combine Amazon 1P insights with your expertise in advertising industry trends technology and customer business understanding along with cultural insights to guide C-suite marketing leaders through compelling narratives and regular in-person presentations that help shape and evolve brand strategy.
Present findings and insights in a consultative approach to the client and collaborate with the relevant internal teams in order to deliver customer success.
Actively share POV on market and industry in T2T meeting and at industry events to educate our clients build trust and establish thought leadership.
Turn customer success ideas into strategic initiatives by inventing critical solutions driving significant improvements establishing scalable processes or deprecating outdated onesbased on direct engagement with internal and external customers to deliver success at scale.
Collaborate cross-functionally communicate effectively across multiple business functions.
Educate your internal and external stakeholders on Amazon insights and measurement offerings by delivering learning sessions writing training documentation and producing whitepapers.
Advocate for data-driven decision making and encourage clients to act on recommendations and drive thought leadership.
Demonstrate a passion for learning new skills and adopting new methodologies and tools.
About the team
- Bachelors degree - Bachelors degree plus 10 years of experience in client-facing data analysis roles.
- 5 years of experience in a consulting role in the digital media/AdTech space or 5 years of advertising experience with a top advertiser (agency or client-side).
- Excellent data-driven storytelling skills - you can create and deliver compelling narratives based insights that are easy to digest for marketers.
- Demonstrated ability to manage the lifecycle of strategic initiatives in ambiguous environments and navigate complex customer relationships to achieve growth objectives.
- Effectively communicate with diverse audiences including senior leadership by translating ideas into clear actionable documentation. Influence stakeholders foster constructive dialogue and resolve conflicts to build alignment and drive consensus.
- Demonstrated expertise in advertising measurement experimentation marketing mix modeling and consumer insights research.
- Complete understanding of the end-to-end process of marketing campaigns.
- MBA Masters degree in Advertising Marketing Statistics Economics or Business with Digital media planning experience.
- Proficient in SQL with the ability to write queries using AI assistance to create appropriate joins extract and manipulate data format fields and develop new measures and metrics.
- Fluency with analytical tools (e.g. Python R SAS) with the ability to leverage AI assistance to perform data analysis generate insights and improve efficiency.
