Principal Objectives/Purpose
The ACYR team builds pathways to success through education skill building and employment opportunities to help youth and young adults reach self-sufficiency. The team plays a crucial role in promoting a culture of positivity growth mindset and hospitality by offering high-energy educational activities and services that create a welcoming environment. Every member of the team is charged to build relationships and trust with youth and young adults to maintain relationships that foster them continuing in their planned services. Our team also serves as an integral component with connecting to our community and spreading/demonstrating the mission of ACYR.
The Success Coach serves the participants whose social emotional behavioral environmental and/or family challenges interfere with their capacity to function adequately within an educational or employment environment. The Support Specialist professionally assesses the barrier(s) to provide and refer for interventions that help eliminate identified barriers to learning. Interventions may include school family therapeutic and/or community resources. This professional relationship is dependent upon its confidential nature and may consist of initial assessment interviews consultation with staff and family supportive counseling crisis intervention community referrals and life skill groups.
The Success Coach assists with developing and teaching intervention strategies to help students/young people achieve academic goals while also preparing them for long-term success. This includes supporting students in building Interpersonal skills. Such as communication emotional intelligence teamwork etc. needed In areas of educational career and personal success. As a key member of our support team the Success Coach partners with administration teachers staff and leadership to develop and implement plans that provide specialized support for young people throughout their participation.

Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Social Work Psychology Counseling Education Human Services or a related field required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience providing direct services to youth and/or young adults ideally in a school youth development workforce development and/or social service setting.
- Experience delivering trauma-informed care crisis intervention or therapeutic supports preferred.
- Experience supporting youth in career readiness employment pathways or workforce development programs preferred.
- Knowledge of community resources and supports
- Bi-lingual/bicultural is a plus but not a requirement
Certification/Licenses/Other Requirements
Valid Arizona Level II IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card. Valid Arizona Drivers License. Requires use of insured personal vehicle for agency business.
Must have a reputation for honesty and trustworthiness. Misdemeanor and/or felony convictions may be disqualifying depending on type number severity and how recent. The background check will consist of a reference checks employment education and criminal background search.
ACYR is an at-will employer and any offer of employment with ACYR is contingent upon a successful completion of said background check.
