Job Summary
Registered Nurse (PCU / Intermediate Care)
Location: Rochester NY 14621
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Nights 312-hour shifts (19:0007:00)
Block Scheduling: Not available
Orientation: 16 hours (non-billable)
Position Requirements
Active New York RN license in hand no exceptions
Specialty: MSDU / PCU RN
Shift: 312 Nights
Weekends: Every other weekend
First-time travelers: Accepted
Local radius rule: Must live 75 miles from the facility
Experience: Minimum 1 year recent experience
Patient ratio: Ability to manage 1:51:7 on Med-Surg
Certifications: BLS required
Charting: Must have Epic experience
Clinical Skills Required
Cardiac Monitoring & Emergency Response
Dysrhythmia interpretation
Dysrhythmia management
Rapid Response / Code Team utilization
IV Therapy & Phlebotomy
Peripheral line care & management
Respiratory Skills
Nasal cannula oxygen face mask portable oxygen tank
Non-invasive airway management
Professional Skills
Isolation precautions adherence
Unit Details Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU)
26-bed critical-care step-down unit
Patient population: Adult acute-care patients requiring higher-level care than Med-Surg
Receives patients from ED PACU ICU and Med-Surg units
All patients monitored with continuous pulse-ox and telemetry
Care includes:
Airway management
Acute BiPAP support
Arterial & central lines
Titrated IV medication infusions
Team provides multidisciplinary compassionate evidence-based care
