ROLE OVERVIEW
Reporting to the Head of Inward Production the Inward Production Locations Coordinator will play a key role in supporting Screen Irelands Inward Production function which aims to attract international film and television production to Ireland and facilitate national projects. The role will support the effective promotion of Ireland as a world-class filming destination through the management and development of Screen Irelands online locations database coordination of project materials and assistance in marketing and promotional activities.
The post holder will be responsible for ensuring that systems processes and information related to inward production are accurate up-to-date and efficiently managed. They will assist in the coordination of project queries scripts and location breakdowns the creation of promotional lookbooks and logistical support for location recces. The role requires a high level of organisational communication and IT skills along with the ability to work collaboratively and effectively in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
This is an Executive Officer grade position requiring the ability to take ownership of assigned areas of work contribute to problem-solving and continuous improvement and support the delivery of Screen Irelands strategic objectives under the guidance of the Head of Inward Production.
The role reports to the Head of Inward Production and may evolve in line with organisational priorities.
FUNCTION OVERVIEW
The Inward Production function at Screen Ireland strategically promotes Ireland as a premier screen content production hub by fostering relationships with local and international producers and maintaining robust industry collaborations. This involves building strategic partnerships with entities like IDA Enterprise Ireland and Tourism Ireland and developing initiatives that enhance production levels and industry growth. The function supports a network of regional and Dublin-based stakeholder partnerships oversees the Screen Ireland locations database and contributes to marketing campaigns. By staying abreast of industry trends seeking new opportunities the function ensures Irelands competitiveness and innovation in the global market.
JOB GRADE / REPORTING LINE
It is anticipated that in order to have the required skills and competencies the Executive Officer post will be at the First Point level.
This role reports to the Head of Inward Production. Reporting structures may be reviewed periodically to reflect business needs.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Operational and Administrative Support- Provide a professional and efficient administrative service to the Head of Inward Production ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the function.
- Manage and maintain the Screen Ireland online locations database including uploading editing and curating images and content to ensure accuracy and usability.
- Liaise with third-party vendors and internal teams regarding system functionality updates and data quality assurance.
- Ensure records correspondence and project files are maintained in line with Screen Irelands information management policies.
Project Coordination and Support- Support the coordination and delivery of inward production projects including the preparation of scouting materials image galleries presentations and lookbooks.
- Assist with the coordination of location recces and the logistical arrangements associated with visiting production teams.
- Undertake script analysis and location breakdowns to identify suitable Irish locations for incoming productions.
- Support the delivery of Screen Irelands inward production strategy through data collection reporting and stakeholder liaison.
Communications and Promotion- Assist the Head of Inward Production in the development of promotional materials and presentations to highlight Irelands production offering.
- Contribute to updates of website content and promotional collateral to support Irelands visibility as a filming destination.
- Support coordination of meetings events and engagements with international and national stakeholders to promote Ireland as a filming location.
Continuous Improvement and Collaboration- Contribute to process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of inward production operations.
- Collaborate with colleagues across Screen Ireland to ensure alignment of activities sharing of information and delivery of organisational priorities.
- Maintain a high standard of professionalism teamwork and customer service in all interactions with internal and external stakeholders.
The postholder will contribute flexibly across the team supporting colleagues with activities aligned to the Executive Officer grade. This collaborative approach ensures opportunities for shared learning role development and responsiveness to team priorities.

KEY REQUIREMENTS ESSENTIAL
- At least three years of relevant experience in administration operations or project coordination preferably within film television the creative industries tourism or a similar field.
- A strong track record in managing and delivering projects or administrative tasks with precision efficiency and a keen eye for detail.
- Demonstrated competence in handling digital systems or databases including the ability to upload edit and maintain high-quality content and information.
- Advanced IT skills with hands-on experience using digital tools for workflow management reporting and communication (such as MS Office SharePoint CRM or web-based platforms).
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities including preparing editing and formatting reports presentations and promotional materials.
- Proven capability to juggle multiple priorities consistently meet deadlines and perform effectively under pressure in a dynamic fast-paced setting.
- Experience working collaboratively within a small agile team and building strong working relationships with both internal colleagues and external partners.
- A professional organised and proactive mindset demonstrating sound judgment and a commitment to delivering work to the highest standards.
KEY SKILLS - PAS CAPABILITY FRAMEWORK
DESIRABLE ATTRIBUTES
- Awareness of or a strong interest in the screen production sector including film television or content creation with an understanding of Irelands production landscape.
- Familiarity with locations management or film production workflows such as location scouting securing permits or coordinating production logistics.
- Experience supporting the promotion or marketing of projects including involvement in the creation of visual digital or presentation materials.
- Understanding of the Irish public sector environment with knowledge of governance compliance and accountability standards.
- Experience working with creative professionals production companies or cultural agencies and an understanding of their operational contexts and requirements.
- Demonstrated commitment to equality diversity inclusion and sustainability in professional practice.
- A qualification and/or formal training in a relevant discipline such as film studies media communications or business administration (NFQ Level 6 or higher).
- Proficiency in the Irish language is considered an advantage.
ROLE DETAILS AND TERMS
- This position is at the Executive Officer level and is remunerated at 37919 per role will be filled in line with Public Pay Policy at the first point of this Salary Scale unless the successful candidate is appointed from an existing public sector role. Application of 1 August 2025 pay adjustments.
- This is a full-time permanent contract position.
- The successful candidate will be required to sign the Screen Ireland Code of Conduct.
- The role will have a 6-month probation period.
- Will report directly to the Head ofInward Production.
- The post will be based in Dublin.
- Annual leave (excluding bank holidays) of 23 days.
- Start Date as soon as possible.
