Sponsorship & Events Leader Oceania
The opportunity
Our Brand Marketing and Communications (BMC) team is looking for a strategic and innovative Oceania Sponsorship & Events Leader who combines proven events marketing capabilities with deep sponsorship experience to raise the bar on our brand and client experiences and deliver transformative brand and client engagement programs that significantly grow our brand visibility drive client engagement and support our business development efforts.
As our Sponsorship & Events Leader will have a challenge mindset innate curiosity a passion for building exceptional culture to create high performing teams and a natural drive to overcome the status quo.
In this senior leadership role you will guide a team of experienced sponsorship and events professionals blending strategic vision with hands-on expertise. Beyond applying foundational event strategies you will introduce innovative approaches to elevate market visibility and create impactful experiences. With a long-term perspective you will consistently deliver compelling client and brand engagements that set new standards.
This is a hybrid position based in Naarm Melbourne or Warrang Sydney. Our roles can potentially be adjusted to work flexibly with reduced hours. Please speak with us about potential options.
Your key responsibilities
- Lead a team of experienced sponsorship and events professionals blending strategic leadership with practical delivery.
- Develop and execute innovative sponsorship and event strategies that elevate market visibility and create compelling client experiences.
- Drive long-term engagement programs that consistently deliver exceptional outcomes and set new standards for brand impact.
Skills and attributes for success
- Proven expertise in events and sponsorship management with a passion for designing and implementing strategies and programs from the ground up.
- Extensive B2B marketing experience (10 years) in fast-paced dynamic environments; agency experience is highly regarded.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver leading-edge event and client engagement strategies achieving outstanding outcomes.
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to anticipate challenges and identify innovative solutions.
- Resilience under pressure including crisis management experience and the ability to remain calm and decisive in high-stakes situations.
