Basic Job Functions:

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate lead and uphold safety policies practices procedures and housekeeping standards at all times.

Responsibilities:

  • Review redline and negotiate Subcontracts and/or Purchase Orders to ensure that the commercial terms and conditions are acceptable and that the scope of work is accurately reflected within the contract documents.

  • On all standard and nonstandard contracts provide red-lined recommendations and negotiate directly with customers project managers purchasing staff and attorneys until agreement has been reached.
  • Assist with contractual matters as they arise.
  • Develop exceptional working relationships with customers and vendors.
  • Interact with multiple facilities within the Central US Region
  • Perform other duties as required by the supervisor.

Minimum Requirements:

Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.
Minimum 2 years experience with reviewing and negotiating business contracts
Bachelors degree

Preferences:

Must have the ability to communicate in a professional manner when dealing with employees vendors and other company contacts
Self-motivated and ability to work independently with little supervision
Ability to work under pressure and multi-task
Ability to conduct own research as required and learn new concepts and terminology quickly
Possess time management written and organizational skills
Accuracy and attention to detail are essential
Work well as part of a team and collaborate to solve problems

  • Walking sitting standing bending
  • Using hands to operate objects tools computers and other electronic equipment
  • Vision abilities including close vision and adjusting focus
  • Available to travel to branches in US.
