We are looking for a Director Spaces & E-Commerce who will report into our VP Brand & this role we are looking for someone who will lead both our online and in person customer experiences. This role oversees our e-commerce platform which includes our website direct to consumer channel and promotional calendar. This role will also work with our Spaces Lead to shape the experience and profitability of our physical spaces including taprooms retail stores bottle shops and events in all Collective Arts locations.
You will shape how people experience Collective Arts across every consumer touchpoint from clicks to visits to experiences. This role requires a leader who brings a customer first mindset along with the ability to connect storytelling hospitality and digital performance into one cohesive vision.
This role will require you to be in office at our brewery in Hamilton every Tuesday and Thursday. Additionally you will need to visit either our Space in Cambridge or Toronto in person once a week.
A typical day as Director Spaces & E-Commerce includes:
- Manage the day to day operations of the Collective Arts e-commerce business
- Oversee the performance and optimization of the Collective Arts website and e-commerce platform (Shopify) ensuring seamless user experience and merchandising.
- Lead the planning and execution of DTC marketing flows including promotional calendars email/SMS funnels acquisition and retention strategies.
- Provide leadership accountability and coaching to all physical spaces (Hamilton & Toronto Taprooms/Retail Stores Gaslight district) ensuring standards for service and brand experience is consistently met.
- Partner with Marketing Design/Content and Sales to deliver cohesive storytelling across digital and on site experiences.
- Build strong vendor and community partnerships that enhance our presence programming and revenue opportunities.
- Mentor and Spaces leadership team fostering collaboration accountability and a customer centric culture.
- Provide support and guidance for on site programming events and special projects that elevate the Collective Arts experience.
How your time will be organized:
Direct to Consumer Leadership (50%)
- Day to day website management strategy platform optimization analytics promotional calendar email/SMS acquisition
Spaces & Hospitality Leadership (30%)
- Work with the Spaces Lead to ensure Collective Arts spaces are meeting brand expectations and customer service standards. You will also lead the programming and events strategy across all spaces
Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration (20%)
- Leading company wide communications crisis responses and partnerships with Marketing Design Sales and Senior Leadership Team.
Team Management (15%)
- Managing current communications staff through day to day tasks setting their goals mentoring the team and supporting professional development
Were looking for candidates who:
- 6 years of e-commerce hospitality or retail operations experience with demonstrated success scaling an e-commerce and hospitality business.
- Previous experience running a Shopify website is considered a must have
- Experience leading physical spaces such as taprooms retail storefronts or event venues with high hospitality experience standards.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data understand trends and take informed action.
- Proven leadership skills with experience managing and developing cross functional teams.
- Experience managing marketplace channels (Amazon Shopify etc.) including merchandising customer experience and fulfillment.
- Familiarity with hospitality retail and e-commerce merchandising best practices and the ability to apply them across digital and in person experiences
- Excellent communication and organizational skills with the ability to juggle digital dashboards live events and people leadership with ease.
