Position Overview:
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant for an exciting Travel or Local job in Opelousas LA.
Job Responsibilities:
Assist Occupational Therapists in implementing individualized treatment plans.
Provide therapeutic interventions to improve patients daily living skills coordination and mobility.
Monitor patient progress and report observations to the supervising Occupational Therapist.
Educate patients families and caregivers on adaptive techniques and exercises.
Maintain accurate documentation of patient care and treatment outcomes.
Collaborate with the rehabilitation team to optimize patient recovery.
Skills
Knowledge of occupational therapy techniques and rehabilitation protocols
Excellent patient communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to follow OT-directed treatment plans accurately
Attention to detail and adherence to clinical standards
Qualifications
Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) Required
Licensed or certified to practice in Louisiana Required
12 years of experience in skilled nursing long-term care or rehabilitation settings Required
BLS (American Heart Association) Preferred
