Position Overview:
KODA Technologies is seeking an experienced Test Equipment Design Engineer to support the development testing and qualification of Lunar vehicle avionics. This role will lead the design documentation procurement coordination and acceptance testing of custom test equipment used in thermal shock and vibration environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop block diagrams wiring diagrams harness drawings and assembly drawings for Lunar vehicle subsystems.
- Design and build custom test equipment to support avionic box testing across thermal shock and vibration environments.
- Create acceptance test plans and perform verification for avionic rack tester equipment including voltage testing and electrical signal characterization.
- Conduct supplier procurement analysis including cost evaluation schedule assessment and ITAR compliance checks.
- Maintain procurement tracking tools and documentation to ensure alignment with program needs.
- Provide weekly project status updates summarizing progress technical issues challenges resource usage and budget status.
- Apply NASA Human Spaceflight Design Standards where applicable.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience designing and building test equipment for avionic systems subject to thermal shock and vibration environments.
- Strong ability to produce detailed electrical and assembly documentation (block diagrams wiring diagrams harness drawings etc.).
- Experience evaluating and selecting suppliers including compliance considerations.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Visio (block diagrams) Zuken (wiring/harness diagrams) and Creo (assembly drawings).
- Strong capability in procurement tracking and documentation including Excel.
- Ability to assess suppliers for ITAR compliance during procurement activities.
