Student Admissions Advisor

Type: Full-Time On-Site Calgary AB

About the Opportunity

Our client is seeking a motivated relationship-focused Student Admissions Advisor to serve as the first point of contact for prospective students. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced people-centered environment and genuinely enjoys guiding individuals toward life-changing academic and career opportunities.

This position offers comprehensive training and an uncapped earning potential once commissions ramp up.

Key Responsibilities

Admissions

  • Recruit qualified students into academic programs in a professional compliant manner.
  • Conduct timely outreach to new leads and provide clear guidance on admissions and enrollment processes.
  • Ensure all students meet required program prerequisites including English proficiency verification.
  • Administer approved entrance assessments for mature students.

Student Support & Follow-Up

  • Provide ongoing support before during and after the admissions process.
  • Maintain regular check-ins with students: every 10 days before program start and during their first 45 days.
  • Direct students to the appropriate college resources when needed.
  • Ensure smooth transition for new students through proactive follow-up.

Administrative

  • Accurately enter and maintain student information across all systems.
  • Keep records up-to-date for reporting and audit requirements.
  • Coordinate handovers with internal departments and support cross-functional processes.
  • Assist with student file audits and documentation management.

Marketing & Product Knowledge

  • Stay current on features relevant to student recruitment.
  • Participate in campaign planning with management.
  • Support virtual and in-person marketing activities.
  • Attend branding or marketing meetings with external partners when required.
  • Contribute to special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or degree in Business Administration or related field (asset not required).
  • Minimum 2 years experience in sales relationship building call-center admissions or customer-focused roles.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to build rapport with diverse individuals.
  • Intermediate MS Office skills with the ability to learn new systems.
  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable managing high-volume outbound calling.
  • Positive energetic and student-focused approach.
  • Familiarity with virtual communication tools and online platforms.

Compensation & Benefits

Base Salary: $45000
Commission: Uncapped; typical first-year earnings $60$70K (commissions begin after the first few months).
