Senior Systems Engineer (Threat & Target Modeling)

Overview:

Signalink is looking to hire a Senior Systems Engineer (Threat & Target Modeling)- Candidate will provide subject matter expertise to lead all target and threat modeling efforts for the SHIELD Project Office including development of threat and target modeling strategy execution of target and threat signature collection and other testing analysis of threat and target model data and coordination with other specialized engineers as required to develop and integrate engineering solutions into the SHIELD portfolio. Activities will also include requirement evaluation and interfacing with the Prime Contractor as necessary. The incumbent must have an understanding of M&S Verification Validation and Accreditation (VV&A) the System Engineering process and development of budget estimations and contracting as it applies to target and threat modeling tasks and the use of those models by SHIELD programs. The incumbent must be able to interface directly with technical experts PMs PEOs SESs and coordinate with other agencies as required.

MAJOR DUTIES:

1. Serve as the target and threat Modeling & Simulation Subject Matter Expert within the Modeling Simulation and Analysis Division of the PEO Missiles and Space SHIELD Project Office.
2. Lead target and threat modeling planning directing guiding and coordinating the M&S needs across the SHIELD portfolio and executing assigned responsibilities
3. Develop target and threat model development strategy to ensure that SHIELD efforts are aligned with PEO Missiles and Space M&S plans
4. Development and tracking of signature collection and other test events to gather necessary data for target and threat model development for SHIELD
5. Lead and coordinate Verification Validation and Accreditation (VV&A) of target and threat models across the SHIELD portfolio of systems.

1. Applies practical and academic knowledge of methodologies theoretical concepts principles in specific professional scientific or technical disciplines

1. Works as part of a team to accomplish assigned tasks with guidance from senior level engineers/scientists and management

Basic Qualifications:

• Must be a US Citizen
• Reside in Huntsville AL area or be willing to relocate to the Huntsville AL area.
• A bachelors degree (or higher) in engineering or science from an accredited college/university. 6 Years with a BS or 4 years with a MS.

Security Requirements: Candidate must possess (as well as maintain) a US Secret security clearance.
