The Junior Engineer Drawing & Release Packages is accountable for ensuring that all engineering documentation released to Manufacturing Engineering is complete accurate standardized and production-ready.
This role exists to protect the factory from incomplete drawings unclear requirements revision errors and documentation gaps that cause shop-floor questions rework delays and unnecessary ECOs.
This is a discipline and quality role not a design-creation seat. Success is measured by how cleanly work flows from Engineering into Manufacturing.
Core Accountabilities
1. Drawing & Release Package Ownership
Own the preparation of complete drawing turnover packages prior to release
Ensure all required documents are present correct and aligned:
Fabrication and assembly drawings
BOMs
Specifications and notes
Revision history and release status
Act as the final quality gate before Engineering releases work to Manufacturing Engineering
2. Documentation Standards & Discipline
Enforce internal drawing BOM and documentation standards
Ensure consistent formatting naming conventions and revision control
Apply release checklists to every packageno exceptions
Maintain drawing templates standards and best-practice examples

Missing dimensions
Ambiguous notes
Conflicting BOMs or specs
Coordinate with Manufacturing Engineering to clarify release expectations and feedback
Serve as the communication bridge between design intent and manufacturing needs
4. ECO & Revision Support
Support Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) by:
Updating drawings and documentation accurately
Ensuring revisions are clearly communicated and traceable
Preventing uncontrolled or partial updates
