Key Responsibilities

As the Business Development Representative you will drive market expansion and revenue growth by developing strong client relationships and identifying new business opportunities across domestic and international markets. Your responsibilities will include:

Outside Sales & Market Development:

  • Spend the majority of work time (in excess of 50%) engaging with customers distributors and OEM partners through meetings site visits presentations and trade shows.
  • Act as the organizations primary representative in the field driving sales activity and promoting product solutions.
  • Grow the companys presence across the U.S. and internationally cultivating partnerships and new accounts.

Account Management & Client Engagement:

  • Build manage and maintain strong customer relationships through consistent communication and follow-up.
  • Serve as a liaison between clients and internal operations logistics and manufacturing teams to ensure technical and service requirements are met.

Sales Strategy & Execution:

  • Meet and exceed sales targets through strategic planning and execution across assigned regions.
  • Exercise independent judgment in developing sales strategies negotiating non-binding terms and managing accounts within company guidelines.
  • Prepare and support quotes proposals and bid packages in collaboration with leadership.

Reporting Analysis & CRM Management:

  • Maintain accurate records of prospecting activities customer interactions and account performance in CRM systems.
  • Contribute to revenue forecasts cost analyses and strategic planning reports.
  • Support periodic inventory counts and audit processes.

Professional Representation & Development:

  • Represent the organization at industry events trade shows field demonstrations and customer site visits.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development training and quality management initiatives.
  • Uphold all safety ethical and compliance standards and support cross-functional organizational objectives.

Qualifications

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering Commerce Marketing Finance or Business Administration (or equivalent experience).
  • Demonstrated success in outside sales within oil and gas or related industrial sectors.
  • Established network of contacts within relevant industrial markets.
  • Experience selling premium or technically advanced product lines.

Technical Skills:

  • Strong understanding of oil and gas operations including drilling completions production and refining.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word Excel Outlook) and CRM tools such as Salesforce.
  • Strong presentation proposal development and reporting capabilities.

  • Strategic thinker with strong business acumen and data-driven decision-making abilities.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional negotiation and closing abilities in technical sales environments.
  • Adaptable resilient and self-motivated in competitive markets.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Must pass a Level 1 Fit for Work Exam and drug/alcohol screening.
  • Must maintain a valid drivers license with a safe driving record (no major violations or more than 5 points in the past 3 years).
  • Willing and able to travel extensively (50%) including overnight travel.
