Whats in it for you
Purpose of the role:
To provide full administration support for the Laboratory Team and Laboratory Manager. Provide additional administrative support to other Technical Management members and the Factory Quality Managers.
Duties of a Laboratory Admin:
Ensure that laboratory files are kept up to date and accurate so that they are accessible to all laboratory staff.
All samples collected and sent according to schedule and customers requests
Minimise the number of lost or damaged parcels (circa 10 parcels sent per week)
Lab consumables stock maintained efficiently every week: circa 20 different items approximately 1000 per week stock purchase orders placed in time for punctual delivery
Ensuring consumable supply and demand is well balanced with no downtime in internal storages/ offices/ other premises. Ensuring stock is kept at optimal levels to prevent negativity impacting laboratory practices or expenditure
Reduced costs for sent parcels in comparison to last month/ quarter/year
Reduced costs for lab consumables purchased in comparison to last month/quarter/year
Accurate and timely report preparation (utilising 7 spreadsheets of data)
Accurate records keeping
Completed training and tests
Keeping working environment compliant with health and safety requirements
What you need to be successful as a Laboratory Admin:
Minimum 1 year experience in an Laboratory setting or administrative role
Used to dealing with suppliers and customers
Experience of laboratory environment
Strong IT Skills; Microsoft office packages
Knowledge of stock control and purchasing
