This hybrid position will be based in Canary Wharf London.

Were looking for a Business Development Manager to join Reuters Events a fast-growing conferencing and events business within Thomson Reuters. Youll play a crucial role in partnering with clients and securing sponsorship packages on our international Food and Agriculture portfolio of events.
Reuters Events combines Reuters globally trusted brand scale and editorial excellence with a leading portfolio of B2B events. We provide content-led conferences for professionals in a variety of specialized industry sectors including energy pharmaceutical automotive insurance finance and legal (to name a few!)to complement our extensive in-depth business media content. We exist to deliver strategic business intelligence and foster the relationships that safeguards success at leading organisations worldwide.
About the Role
As a Business Development Manager at Reuters Events you will:
Work collaboratively with other executives in the food and agriculture space selling tailored sponsorship packages to a variety of global brands.
Use your great command of the written word to communicate value propositions to a host of global clients.
Be consultativewith your clients offering the most appropriate solutions to suit their sponsorship needs.
Enjoy learning about new markets and staying up to date with industry trends (think current affairs technological developments and changes across industries).
Work closely and collaborate with our Conference Production team to establish the best audiences and maximize the success of our conferences and events.
About You
Youre a fit for the role of Business Development Manager if you have:
Demonstrable experience of selling event sponsorships in a bespoke consultative manner that focuses on delivering the outcomes our clients are seeking.
Excellent communication skills. Were looking for someone whos comfortable representing the Reuters brand when engaging with other industry-leading businesses. Youll be comfortable crafting engaging copy and written value propositions whilst building relationships with global C-level executives.
A collaborative attitude. Were team players at Reuters Events and are looking for someone who can succeed both individually and within a team-based environment.
The desire to progress and develop your skills further. We have an excellent (uncapped!) commission scheme that rewards your achievements and are keen to grow and invest in our sales team.
The ability to adapt to changes in markets and articulate potential solutions to a range of stakeholders over the phone in person and on video calls.
