Qualifications Required:
Level 3 Children & Young People Workforce or equivalent / or willingness to work towards Level 3/4

Experience in Years Desired (not essential):
Experience with challenging children in a residential setting

Vacancies:
This service is hiring 3 x Residential Care Workers

The Home:

  • Number of Beds: 2-bed home with 2:1 staffing OR 2:1 staffing arrangements

  • Type of YPs: EBD challenging behaviour emotional difficulties

  • Ratio of staff to children: High staffing ratios (2:1)

Mandatory Requirements (Role-Specific)

As this position is a Residential Support Worker role the following must be added:

Do NOT apply for this role if any of the following apply to you:

  • You do not hold a Full UK Driving Licence and do not have a car.

  • You only hold a Level 3 in Health & Social Care this is not deemed equivalent.

  • You have only Healthcare NHS CQC or Nursery Practitioner experience.

  • You require sponsorship no sponsorship available.

Individuals with only CQC experience and who have not worked in an Ofsted Registered Childrens Home will not be considered.

  • Can work a rolling rota including weekends bank holidays and sleep-ins

  • Is open honest compassionate and has a growth mindset

  • Is willing to undergo a DBS check

  • Can contribute positively to team meetings planning and daily routines

  • Is able to support education activities emotional regulation and daily living needs
