Join our team as a SOC Analyst and play a critical role in protecting the security of our aviation data this role you will apply your expertise to detect investigate and respond to security risks while ensuring technical and business leaders receive timely actionable insights. Youll help strengthen our security posture drive operational excellence and support a mission that keeps global aviation systems safe and resilient.

What YOU will do

Monitor analyze and triage security alerts reports customer requests and other inputs to identify potential threatsapplying human intelligence to complement automated detection systems.
Maintain accurate records of actions taken and ensure timely updates to internal and vendor ticketing systems.
Collaborate with vendors customers and IT teams through email chat phone and other channels to support incident investigation and resolution.
Perform incident and error log management across relevant applications and tools.
Recommend improvements to reduce false positives/negatives and strengthen mail filtering and broader security operations.
Report daily and weekly on workload ticket metrics issues recommendations and risk mitigation strategies.
Work night shifts (7 PM7 AM Eastern) on a rotating schedule example:Week 1: Three 12-hour shiftsWeek 2: Three 12-hour shifts one 8-hour shift

What YOU will learn

How to apply advanced threat detection methodologies to a global aviation environment.
Cross-functional communication skills while working with engineering IT and security stakeholders across the business.

Qualifications YOU must have

Typically requires a degree in Science Technology Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and less than 2 years prior relevant experience
1 years of experience in security operations or a related IT security role.

Qualifications WE prefer

Working understanding of phishing techniques malware (attachment-based URL-based ransomware RATs stealers etc.) and broader threat landscapes.
Experience using security tools such as Splunk Rapid7 QRadar Okta and Confluence.
Strong communication skills including the ability to interpret security playbooks and clearly document findings and recommendations.
Experience supporting large enterprise or regulated environments.
Familiarity with aviation critical infrastructure or high-availability system security.

The salary range for this role is 62000 USD - 118000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education/training and key skills.
