We are currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated chaplain to join our team and provide spiritual support to residents families and staff. Position OverviewThe Chaplain plays a vital role in fostering the spiritual and emotional well-being of our residents. This role provides spiritual care conducts religious services leads supportive programs and collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to promote whole-person wellness. The Chaplain helps create a warm inclusive and welcoming atmosphere where residents feel valued supported and cared for. Key ResponsibilitiesProvide spiritual care and support to residents families and staff addressing individual needs and concerns. Conduct regular worship services prayer gatherings devotions and spiritual programs tailored to the diverse beliefs of our residents. Provide one-on-one counseling for residents experiencing grief illness life transitions or emotional distress. Collaborate with nursing social work activities and leadership teams to ensure holistic resident care. Facilitate support groups grief groups and educational sessions related to spirituality emotional well-being or end-of-life topics. Participate in care plan meetings as needed and contribute to resident wellness plans from a spiritual-care perspective. Maintain accurate and confidential records of spiritual-care activities and resident interactions per regulatory standards. Build and maintain relationships with local faith communities to support resident needs and promote community engagement. Provide spiritual support during crises end-of-life care and family interactions. Represent Wesley Manors mission vision and values through compassionate and inclusive ministry.
Qualifications: - Master of Divinity (.) or equivalent theological degree from an accredited institution.
- Endorsement or certification from a recognized religious organization.
- Previous experience in a chaplaincy role preferably in a senior living or healthcare setting.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to connect with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Compassionate empathetic and respectful approach to spiritual care.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Flexibility to accommodate the spiritual needs of residents and families.
