System Engineer
Aversan Inc.() is a trusted multi-service engineering and electronics manufacturing company. The successful candidate will contribute to the design and development of aircraft systems. The role involves performing design tasks that require initiative resourcefulness and close collaboration with other engineering team members. - Define the objectives and constraints of the projects under your responsibility in collaboration with the various stakeholders.
- Design helicopter and control station subsystems in collaboration with other crew members and vendors.
- Establish the necessary technical documentation: requirements interface documents (ICDs) analysis reports test plan procedures etc.
- Support the establishment and planning of development activities at all stages of the project.
- Support the manager by providing technical expertise on designs time estimates and products.
- Support other departments during product testing and production.
- All other tasks related to the position.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical Aerospace or similar engineering.
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience.
- Member of the Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec (Eng.).
- General knowledge of aeronautics and avionics systems (communications navigation autopilot engine interface etc.).
- Excellent project management skills.
- Experience and skills with relevant design software (Altium Zuken etc.);
- Ability to find solutions and take initiative.
- Ability to manage risks appropriately.
- Interpersonal skills: Autonomy adaptability relational quality structure ability to communicate effectively.
- Fluency in French and English.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Canadian security clearance and a positive assessment of controlled goods. Eligibility to work in Canada as a Canadian citizen or permanent resident.
- Experience working with various engineering disciplines (Systems Software Hardware and Mechanical Engineering) and Project Engineers to ensure milestone deliveries are met and potential risks
- Experience in defining developing and executing tests;
- Knowledge of aeronautical certification standards (ARP4754A DO-254 DO-178 etc.);
- Experience in managing life cycles (configuration management) and associated processes.
