Job Title: QA Engineer Mobile Testing

Location: Calgary AB

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced QA Engineer with strong expertise in mobile application testing to join our team supporting a leading financial client. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in testing mobile apps across platforms a solid understanding of QA methodologies and familiarity with financial domain standards and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

Design develop and execute test plans and test cases for mobile applications (iOS and Android).
Perform functional regression usability and performance testing.
Collaborate with developers product managers and other stakeholders to ensure high-quality releases.
Identify document and track bugs using tools like JIRA or similar.
Automate mobile tests using tools such as Appium Espresso or XCUITest.
Ensure compliance with financial industry standards and security protocols.
Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or related field.
7 years of experience in QA with at least 5 years focused on mobile testing.
Strong knowledge of mobile platforms (iOS Android) and device testing.
Experience with mobile automation tools (Appium Espresso XCUITest).
Java Coding experience required.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (e.g. Git).
Understanding of financial applications and regulatory requirements is a plus.
Excellent analytical communication and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

ISTQB or equivalent QA certification.
Experience with performance testing tools (e.g. JMeter LoadRunner).
Exposure to security testing in financial applications.
