About the Role
As we progress towards completion of the $190 million private expansion in early 2026 Joondalup Health Campus is growing our dedicated admissions team. We are seeking motivated and customer-focused Private Admission Officers to support our private patient services.
In this fast-paced and rewarding role you will provide high-quality support through a mix of patient interaction and administrative responsibilities. You will be a welcoming first point of contact for our private patients while applying strong organisational financial and problem-solving skills.
Working both autonomously and collaboratively with our wider hospital teams you will contribute directly to a positive and seamless private patient journey.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet patients and visitors in a professional and compassionate manner.
- Ensure accuracy of patient details and maintain up-to-date electronic records.
- Manage private patient admissions and pre-admissions using relevant hospital systems.
- Liaise with patients health funds and insurers regarding private health cover and entitlements.
- Complete eligibility checks and prepare Informed Financial Consent forms.
- Process payments and maintain confidentiality in line with hospital policies.
- Answer and direct telephone enquiries courteously and efficiently.
- Support a collaborative dynamic working environment and manage tasks independently as needed.
Selection Criteria
Essential
- Commitment to the Ramsay Way core values and delivering exceptional patient service.
- Strong attention to detail with high standards of accuracy.
- Confident computer skills including competence in Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
- Ability to prioritise tasks and manage competing demands.
- Ability to work both independently and as a supportive team member.
Desirable
- Experience in hospital medical or customer service administration.
- Knowledge of private health insurance and medical billing processes.
- Familiarity with patient administration systems such as Meditech.
Renumeration: On offer is a base rate ranging from $34.47 - $38.42 superannuation based on qualifications and experience (RHC WA PACT EA).
