Cloud Operations Lead
Mission Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Cloud Operations Technical Lead to oversee the day-to-day operations performance and reliability of our cloud infrastructure. This role requires deep technical expertise combined with strong leadership capabilities to ensure stability scalability and security across multiple cloud environments (AWS Azure OpenShift). The ideal candidate will excel at leading technical teams driving automation and maintaining robust operational processes.
Preferred Experience
Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field (or equivalent experience).
5 years of experience in cloud infrastructure and operations.
Demonstrated experience leading technical teams in cloud operations infrastructure or DevOps environments.
Strong experience writing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using CDK Terraform CloudFormation or equivalent.
Strong experience with automated deployment tooling such as AWS CodePipeline/CodeBuild Azure DevOps or similar CI/CD solutions.
Solid understanding of multiple cloud services in AWS and/or Azure.
Good knowledge of server operating systems networking data stores databases and identity & access management.
Experience managing priorities delegating tasks and ensuring timely delivery of operational and project objectives.
Required Technical Skills
Proven hands-on experience in cloud computing (Microsoft Azure AWS).
Infrastructure as Code automation with Terraform.
Experience with Azure networking tools (VNET BGP etc.).
End-to-end DevOps automation via CI/CD to deploy IaC (e.g. ADO GitHub Actions Jenkins or equivalents).
Ability to manage infrastructure environments configurations and workflows through self-service automation.
Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python PowerShell YAML KQL or others.
Experience with automated testing frameworks and testing harnesses.
Strong understanding of operational stability security controls and Policy-as-Code via IaC automation.
Other Skills & Abilities
Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences including senior leadership.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies and ITIL-based service management practices.
Interpersonal Skills
Organized quality-oriented and able to effectively manage time and priorities.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Leadership: Proven ability to lead mentor and motivate technical teams.
