Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Install route pull dress label and terminate CAT5e/CAT6/CAT6a and fiber cabling in commercial and healthcare environments.

  • Perform cable runs through ceilings walls conduit J-hooks cable tray and other pathways.

  • Install and mount devices such as wireless access points network hardware patient-room devices and telecom equipment.

  • Support basic testing toning and troubleshooting of cable infrastructure.

  • Work in both occupied hospital areas and new construction sites ensuring minimal disruption to staff patients and clinical operations.

  • Follow infection control guidelines safety procedures and facility access protocols at all times.

  • Collaborate with project managers lead technicians and hospital staff to complete work efficiently and professionally.

  • Maintain clean work areas accurate labeling and high-quality workmanship throughout all phases of installation.

Preferred Experience
  • 2 5 years of experience in commercial low-voltage cabling environments.

  • Solid understanding of EIA/TIA standards and best practices for structured cabling.

  • Experience installing cable through conduit sleeves and fire-stopping assemblies.

  • Ability to read basic floor plans and interpret pathways.

  • Experience with basic tools (toner tester ladders drills fish tape/poles etc.).

  • Prior experience in healthcare environments is a plus but not required.

  • Experience with nurse call systems (Rauland Hillrom etc.) or life safety devices is a plus - training available.

Requirements
  • Ability to work professionally in active hospital areas and interact respectfully with staff patients and visitors.

  • Must pass standard background checks and meet hospital access requirements (badging PPE etc.).

  • Ability to lift 50 lbs climb ladders and work in ceilings or other confined spaces.

  • Reliable transportation and ability to report to multiple job sites as scheduled.

  • Personal hand tools for low-voltage work required (list available upon request).
