PacAero is primarily located in Wenatchee WA with a remote manufacturing site Bonded Metals located in Sequim WA. Working together we employ proprietary technologies best practices engineering and specialized manufacturing techniques to produce hermetic connectors and electronic packaging that perform in the worlds most extreme environments. PacAeros products are hard at work in medical components such as cardiac-function devices on key aerospace & defense programs in space and deep below the earths surface.


The Position:


Job Summary

The Maintenance Technician is in charge of performing ongoing facility maintenance and completing repairs on equipment. Their duties include fixing machinery plumbing heating and wiring inspecting buildings to confirm safety standards and scheduling major repairs with the buildings inhabitants. Perform regular preventative maintenance tasks. Starting job level and wage will be based on experience.


Schedule: Monday - Friday 5:00am-1:30pm


Primary Responsibilities

  • Work cooperatively with all employees.
  • Willingness to adapt work schedule to company needs.
  • Consistently at work and on time.
  • Following company handbook policy and companies cell phone policy.
  • Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
  • Observe safety regulations and follow protective equipment requirements. Report hazardous observations to your lead or supervisor.
  • Must be able to retain information and show continued progression towards a level II machinist role.

Hiring for 1 of the following levels based on experience:


Maintenance Technician I Responsibilities

  • Performing routine maintenance around the building such as fixing structural damage for example window door or wall repair
  • Repairing broken or leaking plumbing to avoid water damage and restore full use of water fixtures
  • Basic knowledge of hand tools
  • Applying preventative measures to the building to reduce the risk of future problems such as using a sealant on a flat roof
  • Fixing potential safety hazards to avoid injuries
  • Painting the building when old paint has become faded or chipped

Maintenance Technician II Responsibilities

  • Assisted in performing routine maintenance and repairs on various equipment and facilities ensuring optimal functionality and safety.
  • Conducted regular inspections of buildings grounds and equipment to identify and address maintenance needs promptly.
  • Supported senior maintenance staff in troubleshooting and resolving mechanical and electrical issues gaining hands-on experience in repair techniques.
  • Maintained inventory of maintenance supplies and tools ensuring availability for timely repairs and upkeep.
  • Collaborated with team members to complete maintenance projects efficiently adhering to safety protocols and company standards.
  • Documented maintenance activities and repairs in logs to track work progress and ensure compliance with maintenance schedules.
  • Responded to maintenance requests from staff and management providing prompt and courteous service to enhance workplace conditions.

Maintenance Technician III Responsibilities

  • Performs general and specialized maintenance and labor tasks daily as outlined by the maintenance supervisor
  • Specialize in one or more building trades such as: carpentry plumbing electrical or other building trades
  • Inspects reports records and repairs safety related problems regarding facilities
  • Lays out and inspects work and assists crew members
  • Cleans and maintains workplace vehicles and equipment in a safe environment
  • Transports equipment chairs and furniture between buildings
  • Operates power equipment and electrically driven tools for maintenance repair
  • Performs plumbing HVAC irrigation carpentry masonry painting electrical and construction tasks
  • Participates in snow removal projects during winter months
  • Operates and maintains facility mechanical systems
  • Operates district maintenance vehicles and attached equipment
  • Responds to unforeseen circumstances during off hours
  • Performs other tasks and operations as assigned
  • Maintain regular on-time attendance
  • Manage operations of districts asbestos program
  • Assists with maintenance and operations of door/key systems
  • Corresponds with district staff and stakeholders via email
  • May be asked to translate if applicable

Education/Previous Experience Requirements

  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • No experience required


Work Environment

  • Noise: Machine shop can often be a loud environment with constant noise from equipment requiring mandatory hearing protection.
  • Safety hazards: Maintenance techs are exposed to inherent risks from powerful high-speed equipment including moving parts and sharp tools. Safety protocols are critical to prevent injuries.
  • Contaminants: The work involves exposure to airborne particles like metal dust coolant mist and chemical fumes necessitating adequate ventilation and protective measures to minimize health risks.
  • Protective gear: Personal protective equipment (PPE) is a requirement for safety. This includes safety glasses and hearing protection.
  • Shift work: Must be flexible to work any of the following shifts: M-Th 5am-3:30pm M-Th 3:15pm-1:45am Fri-Sun 5am-6pm and Fri-Sun 5pm-6am.


Physical Requirements:

  • Standing: Maintenance techs spend long hours on their feet operating and monitoring machines on the shop floor.
  • Lifting: The job often requires lifting and moving heavy parts or raw materials. Some roles may involve moving objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Manual dexterity: Fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination are necessary for manipulating tools setting up machines and performing precise measurements.
  • Repetitive motion: Many tasks such as loading and unloading workpieces deburring parts inspecting parts are repetitive and can potentially lead to musculoskeletal issues over time.
  • Precision and vision: Machinists must have excellent close-up vision depth perception and the ability to distinguish colors to accurately read blueprints inspect finished products and use measuring instruments.
  • Stamina: Physical stamina is required for the duration of a shift to perform duties like loading materials monitoring machinery and conducting quality control checks.
