Lodge Manager Luxury Lodge Phalaborwa Area
Kendrick Recruitment is seeking an experienced Lodge Manager to oversee operations at a luxury lodge in the Phalaborwa area. This is a live-in position offering the opportunity to lead a high-end hospitality property in a beautiful bush setting.
Position Overview
The Lodge Manager will be responsible for the overall management and smooth running of the lodge ensuring exceptional guest experiences and operational excellence. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader with strong organisational skills capable of managing both staff and property operations efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee all aspects of lodge operations including guest services housekeeping food and beverage and maintenance.
Lead train and motivate lodge staff to maintain high service standards.
Ensure the lodge operates in compliance with health safety and environmental regulations.
Manage budgets monitor expenses and optimise operational efficiency.
Maintain strong relationships with guests addressing feedback and ensuring satisfaction.
Coordinate with suppliers and external partners to ensure seamless operations.
Handle administrative duties including reporting scheduling and operational planning.
Required Skills and Competencies
Proven experience in lodge or hotel management preferably in a luxury or safari lodge environment.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent organisational planning and problem-solving abilities.
Hands-on proactive and capable of working in a remote or bush environment.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Financial acumen and experience managing budgets and operational costs.
