Stabilization Support Specialist

Are you passionate about making a tangible difference in the lives of individuals facing mental health challenges Northwestern Counseling & Support Services Inc. is seeking a Stabilization Support Specialist to be part of our dynamic Stabilization Support Team. Our team provides intensive individualized services ranging from case management to 1:1 skill coaching and family/parenting support to clients experiencing clinically acute needs. Our mission is to help clients stabilize so they can safely remain in their homes and communities or transition successfully after a higher level of care.

As a Stabilization Support Specialist youll play a vital role in supporting clients and families through challenging times. Youll provide flexible strengths-based and client-centered services that empower individuals to build resilience develop coping skills and thrive within their communities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver intensive individualized support to clients experiencing mental health challenges.
• Provide family and parenting support to strengthen home resilience.
• Facilitate 1:1 skills coaching to promote emotional regulation daily living success and community integration.
• Coordinate care and provide case management with internal teams and community partners.
• Support clients in stabilizing within their community or transitioning successfully from higher levels of care.
• Maintain accurate timely and thorough documentation.
• Actively participate in team meetings collaborative problem-solving and ongoing professional development.

• Build and sustain meaningful relationships with clients families and community partners.
• Exhibit flexibility reliability and excellent communication skills.
• Have experience supporting individuals with mental health needs (preferred but not required).
• Flexibility in hours is needed as there may be some evening or weekend commitments.

Hiring rate is based on experience education and internal equity. Final compensation will be determined in accordance with NCSS policy and applicable laws.

Bachelors degree in Human Services Social Work Psychology or a closely related field.
