Boeing Defense Space and Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Mid-Level Space Launch System Executive Assistant (Level 3) supporting the Space Launch System (SLS) Program in New Orleans LA.

The Executive Assistant provides high-level administrative operational and personal support to a senior executive. This is a trusted gatekeeper role that requires exceptional discretion anticipation of needs and the ability to operate in a fast-paced high-pressure environment.

Strong communication and organizational skills are critical to success in this position along with the ability to build strong relationships collaborate in a cross-functional environment and utilize problem-solving skills to proactively identify and manage risks and opportunities.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Independently develops coordinates integrates analyzes and maintains an integrated plan and schedule to meet program and/or project requirements in accordance with project management industry standards.
  • Performs studies analysis (trend variance impact) risk assessments to determine impacts and constraints involving product development production rates process improvement program initiatives.
  • Creates schedule reports metrics change activity communicates and updates plans regularly throughout lifecycle of program or project.
  • Works to improve project management processes business systems and implement best practices that support project decision makers.
  • Directs all phases of projects or subsystems of major projects from inception through completion.
  • Acts as primary project contact to establish key stakeholder requirements and project objectives.
  • Assists customers to develop performance recovery plan and ensure all project control systems are in place to support ongoing support to stakeholders.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements a U.S. Person as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.15 is required. U.S. Person includes U.S. Citizen lawful permanent resident refugee or asylee.

This position requires the ability to obtain access to a National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) facility.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 1 years of experience leading or managing projects that involved cross-functional or cross-business unit teams
  • Proficiency and experience working with Microsoft Office (Excel Word PowerPoint)
  • 1 years of experience working with Project management skills and ability to drive performance to plan and results
  • 1 years of experience collecting and analyzing data from multiple sources as well as interpreting data and presenting analysis and recommendations to management

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelors Degree or higher
  • Experience interfacing with senior and executive leadership
  • Experience with NASA Space programs or a related Space or Defense program
  • Experience using Program Management Best Practices (PMBP) and processes and methods
  • Experience developing and managing strong relationships with partners (internal & external) and government customers and representatives
  • Impeccable attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and exercise sound judgement
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.

Travel:Some travel may be required up to 25% for this position.
