Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and hands-on Senior Trainer to lead nationwide training for our clients mobile phones and accessories segment. The ideal candidate will design deliver and scale practical training programmes that enhance product knowledge sales capability and after-sales performance across retail stores promoters and service centres.
Key Responsibilities
Training Design & Delivery
Develop and deliver end-to-end training including onboarding upskilling store manager training and promoter certification programmes.
Facilitate a blended learning approach: classroom sessions in-store coaching practical demonstrations and micro online modules.
Content Development
Create product manuals sales scripts troubleshooting guides anti-counterfeit checklists micro-learning videos and assessment tests for Itel phones and PowerMaster powerbanks.
Field Coaching
Conduct routine store visits for live demos role-plays 1:1 coaching and mystery-shop evaluations.
Mentor retail teams on selling techniques customer engagement and objection handling.
Trainer Development
Build and maintain a strong trainer network by conducting Train-the-Trainer sessions and developing local trainers to support nationwide delivery.
Performance Tracking
Set measurable KPIs (training pass rate conversion improvement reduction in complaints/returns promoter retention).
Analyse training impact and continuously improve programme quality using data insights.
Product Launch & Campaign Support
Provide training sales enablement tools and sell-in materials for new product launches bundle promotions and trade campaigns (e.g. buy-bundle trade-in initiatives).
Resource Management
Update and maintain all training materials including playbooks presentation decks videos and quick-reference guides for field teams.
Localization & Compliance
Adapt training content into local languages (Hausa/French) where required.
Ensure all training materials align with brand standards and communication guidelines.
Qualifications & Experience
Education: Degree in Marketing Education Business Electronics or related fields.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years in retail or channel training; at least 3 years in mobile devices consumer electronics or telecoms preferred.
Training Expertise: Strong understanding of adult learning principles and experience designing interactive classroom and field-based training.
Sales Coaching: Proven ability to coach retail teams on sales conversion upselling and objection handling.
Technical Knowledge: Basic understanding of mobile phone and powerbank technology fault diagnosis and the ability to simplify technical content for sales teams.
Data Skills: Ability to set KPIs measure training outcomes and present improvement reports.
Languages: Fluent in English; Hausa or French is an added advantage.
Mobility: Must be willing to travel extensively across Nigeria (including secondary cities and rural regions).
Personal Qualities: Strong communicator patient coach highly resilient practical and results-driven.
