Job Summary

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Accounting correctly in the GL for Merchants/Bank MSC Income for all card schemes and international acquiring settled in Naira.

Accounting correctly in the GL for all settled transactions.

Accounting correctly in the GL for liability of all Dollar transactions for all card Schemes.

Accounting correctly in the GL for all collections liability and payments receivables and UP income.

Ensure that Management obtains timely and consistently relevant financial information for decision making and planning purposes.

Accounting correctly in the GL for UPs income from Agency Banking Access Bank First Bank and Zenith Bank Agency Transactions.

Accounting correctly in the GL for UPs income from Non-Bank Agency transactions (Teamapt Paycom Ikonik Village ITEX Crowd Force etc.

GL Schedules: Ensure that GLs are reviewed and proofed while errors are detected and corrected promptly.

Account correctly in the GL for Merchant Advance Special Merchants and POS cash withdrawal.

Accounting correctly to the GL for Receivables Payable and income for all Payarena and Payattitude transactions.

Accounting correctly in the GL for amount due to other PTSPs and PTO (different from UP).

Accounting correctly in the GL for UP Agency transactions income and liability.

Accounting correctly in the GL for income sharing with PayAttitude Global and Hope PSB.

Accounting correctly in the GL for ATM income.

Accounting correctly in the GL for processing fee from Agency Banking Transactions.

Ensure that staff advances are properly accounted for in the GL.

Delegated tasks: Performing any other tasks as may be assigned from time to time.

REQUIREMENT

Education

First degree in Accounting or any numerate subject.

Professional membership of ICAN/CIMA/ACCA or similar recognized professional accounting bodies. General Experience:

Minimum of 10 years post-NYSC cognate experience.

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS

100% accuracy and integrity of GL data and financial information.

Timeliness of Reports 100% documentation

KEY COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS

Knowledge

Excellent knowledge of cost and financial accounting principles practices and procedures.

Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards

Knowledge of supervisory practices and principles.

Knowledge of Card Payment industry.

Skill/Competencies

Demonstrate ability to cope with pressure and meet deadlines.

High degree of accuracy.

Deductive reasoning abilities and eye for details.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Advanced Excel user.
