The Opportunity
Due to ourAcciona MACA AECOM(AMA)Alliancebeing selected as the preferred proponent on the Ring Road Completion Project we are seeking to appoint aSpoil and Logistics Managerworking out of the AK Lines Reserve offices.

The Project
The ACCIONA MACA & AECOM Alliance has been selected as the preferred bidder on the North East Link Project (Northern Package). This package of works covers the design and construction of the North East Link between the M80 - Plenty Rd interchange and the north tunnel entrance at Watsonia. Works include three kilometres of new freeway two kilometres of freeway upgrades construction of retaining walls and bridge structures rail interface works intelligent transport systems and urban design and landscaping. This diverse and challenging project will be complete in 2028.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all site plant operations
  • Develop plant management and procurement and logistics plans for the project
  • Manage logistics of spoil and contamination across the project
  • Working with the internal Plant team ensure plant maintenance preventative and breakdown is carried out in a timely manner which ensures the integrity of the machine is maintained and availability is maximised
  • Ensure safety & plant compliance is met across the board in the project.
  • Implement and maintain procedures to achieve game breaking performance in safety quality and environment
  • Negotiate deals with cartage contractors as well as directly with end users.

Required Skills and Competencies

  • Minimum 12 years of experience in logistics and plant management
  • Extensive experience with environmental spoil and contaminated soil
  • Diploma in Occupational health and safety or equivalent
  • Strong stakeholder management and an effective negotiator.
