We are seeking an experienced and motivatedCalibration and Test Engineerto join theModule Calibration and Test Engineeringteam supporting Lumentums flagshipWavelength Managementproducts.

This role involves developing automation software designing calibration methodologies and supporting test infrastructure across R&D and global manufacturing. You will collaborate closely withfirmware hardware optical design and manufacturing teamsto ensure efficient and accurate test processes.

What Youll Be Doing

  • Develop and maintainautomation softwarefor calibration and test execution.

  • Collaborate withR&D teamsto define and implement calibration and test plans optimizing optical module performance and ensuring compliance to specifications.

  • Interface withglobal manufacturingto deploy and support test processes and infrastructure.

  • Troubleshoot and resolvetest system and product performanceissues through systematic problem-solving.

  • Analyzetest data and production metricsto identify trends and drive continuous improvement.

  • Improvetest throughput reliability and yieldwhile minimizing cost and maintaining quality.

  • Supportremote manufacturing sitesin testing improvements and deployment.

What Were Looking For

  • Post-Secondary degree inScience/Engineering Field

  • Knowledge of optical communication principles and technology

  • Minimum5 years of industry experiencein automation calibration or test development.

  • DemonstratedObject-oriented programmingexperience / skills.

  • Experience interfacingtest and measurement instrumentsvia software (e.g. RS232 I2C SPI GPIB or Ethernet).

  • Logicalproblem solving skillsand technical aptitude.

  • Excellentteamwork and communicationskills in cross-functional fast-paced environments.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have

  • Experience withoptical component calibrationLCoS orMEMSsystems.

  • Familiarity withdata analytics tools(e.g. Python MATLAB SQL) for yield and performance analysis.

  • Understanding ofmanufacturing process controlandstatistical analysis(SPC GR&R).

  • Programming experience inC#and/orwithMS Visual Studio

  • Familiarity withAgileproject development

Pay Range: $110625 - 149675 (flexible)
