Our Science & Insights team is seeking a Project Officer to contribute to Biodiversity Indicator Program projects by providing technical expertise coordinating project activities and conducting detailed analyses. As the Project Officer you will provide support to senior staff in managing complex biodiversity indicator projects preparing reports research papers and presentations and ensuring project milestones are achieved to a high scientific standard.

You will maintain collaborative networks across the Department of Climate Change Energy the Environment and Water (DCCEEW) consultants government agencies and research providers provide timely advice to stakeholders and assist in developing project management processes that enhance biodiversity indicator reporting. The position also includes contributing to team building promoting open communication to support effective knowledge sharing within DCCEEW.

About You
You are an organised and detail-oriented professional with strong communication skills and experience supporting the delivery of high-quality science. You work effectively in a small diverse team and demonstrate sound judgement in managing your own priorities and workload. Operating with a level of autonomy you make day-to-day decisions to ensure the accuracy integrity and quality of your work and advice. You also bring demonstrated experience in project management and a commitment to delivering results.
