AECOMs Buildings Places practice is actively seeking a highly talentedProject Managerto support active and future projects for our growing practice. This hybrid role will be based in Minneapolis MN or Detroit MI.
AECOMs Buildings Places practice includes architecture interiors building engineering workplace strategy business transformation asset advisory economics and development planning master planning urban planning and landscape architecture in a dynamic interactive and creative work environment. TheProject Manager will lead the execution of small to medium size interdisciplinary projects lead projects with a focus on serving our clients and meeting business expectations. The role will be responsible for assisting proposal efforts managing the client and execution of the scope schedule budget and quality deliverables across the full project lifecycle from conceptual studies to full design and construction administration.
The Project Manager for this opportunity will oversee and manage new and exciting projects for a wide range of clients. The position includes working with interdisciplinary technical leads to coordinate the successful capture and execution of projects in design and construction.
Responsibilities include a proven track record of:
Acting as a primary point of contact with a client.
Preparing scope and fee proposals for multi-discipline projects.
Managing and directing professional and technical staff to complete a wide variety of architectural and engineering projects.
Coordinating internal resources and third parties/subcontractors for capture and execution of project.
Ensuring that projects are delivered on time within scope and within budget while meeting client expectations with high quality.
Developing and monitoring a detailed project plan and schedule to track progress and identify shortfalls in a timely manner.
Managing change and exercising appropriate escalation to management as necessary.
Performing risk management to minimize project risks.
Maintaining project documentation control.
Preparing coordinating and facilitating project meeting: Preparing and maintaining the agenda with associated meeting minutes
Delivering positive financial metrics including as sold profit billings and collection management.
Receiving positive client feedback in conjunction with Achieving contractual performance and financial milestones across the lifespan of multiyear / multitask order contracts.
Other responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to those listed below:
Oversight of project throughout the lifecycle of the project from identification to capture execution construction and closeout.
Performs work with minimal direction with periodic reporting to operations.
Conducts reviews and provides staff feedback for continued improvement.
Detail oriented with strong organizational skills.
Superior communication writing editing and reporting skills for a wide variety of audiences.
Familiarity with project invoicing and cash flow management.
Qualifications :
Minimum Requirements:
BA/BS in Architecture or related field4 years of relevant experience managing A/E Design Projects or related field or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
Preferred Qualifications:
8 years of related experience and 6 years managing A/E projects
Strong leadership and communication skills necessary to coordinate multi-discipline teams
History of making decisions to drive successful project execution
Licensed RA
Federal project experience
Ability to work in Fast-paced environment and Coordinate with multiple stakeholders
