This position is the unit manager for the Nursing Case Management Unit. The person in this position is responsible for establishing monitoring and updating policies and procedures to make sure that individualized follow-up and nursing case management is available for children with elevated blood lead levels. The person in this position is responsible for coordinating nursing case management practice policies procedures and guidance with other state federal and local health agencies and the public to conduct interventions to mitigate and prevent the adverse health effects of exposure to lead. The person is responsible for overseeing budgets and contracts providing leadership statewide to develop and implement evidence-based approaches to nursing case management and conducting program improvement activities based on continuous program evaluation activities. The person is responsible for recruiting hiring and supervising staff and evaluating work performance in accordance with equal employment opportunity and laws and employment policies of the State of Michigan.

Position Location/Remote Office: The physical location of this position is 333 South Grand Avenue in Lansing MI. Based on operational needs and within established limits remote work and alternate or hybrid work schedule requests for this position may be considered. Selected candidates who have been approved to work remotely or a hybrid schedule must complete that work within Michigan. Candidates should confirm work location and schedule at the time of interview.
