At TOMRA safety and sustainability are at the heart of everything we do. Were looking for an experienced Health Safety & Environment (HSE) Manager to take ownership of all HSE matters across TOMRA Collection UK operationscovering offices warehouses Reverse Vending Machine (RVM) sites and partner locations.
This is a pivotal role ensuring compliance with UK legislation and TOMRAs Safe Management System (TSMS) while driving a proactive safety culture. Youll act as the primary source of HSE expertise supporting the Managing Director and leading initiatives that protect our people customers and partners.
What Youll Do
Ensure Legal Compliance
Adhere to UK HSE legislation (e.g. Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 RIDDOR COSHH Fire Safety Mental Health at Work Act 2025).
Maintain and Improve Policies
Update TOMRAs HSE policies and procedures to meet statutory and company requirements.
Risk Management
Develop implement and review risk assessments and safe systems of work across all operations.
Incident & Audit Oversight
Lead incident reporting investigations root cause analysis and corrective actions; manage internal/external audits and maintain documentation.
Training & Culture
Deliver engaging HSE training and promote a proactive safety culture using leading and lagging indicators.
Stakeholder Engagement
Act as the main contact for UK regulators auditors customers and partners; provide HSE input in RFP/tender processes.
Digital & Emerging Risks
Support digital transformation of HSE systems; monitor emerging risks like automation climate resilience and mental health.
Emergency Sustainability & Reporting
Lead emergency response planning environmental compliance wellbeing initiatives contractor standards and report on HSE KPIs and annual performance.
