Job Description:

SCHDULE:

• Shift: Days
• No weekends
• Potential to float between Appleton and Neenah

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Completes releases retains and purges medical records based on facility state and federal regulatory requirements.

• Ensures uniform quality of the medical record.

• Collaborates with multiple disciplines to effectively and efficiently assist in the completion of the medical record.

• Knows and understands the expertise of disciplines outside of health information.

• Files and retrieves medical records and chart documents.

• Processes all inbound and outbound calls.

• Provides support services within the defined service area.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School diploma or GED preferred

• Must be 18 years of age

• One year of experience in medical office or records

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Ability to move freely (standing stooping walking bending pushing and pulling) and lift up to a maximum of twenty-five (25) pounds without assistance

• Job classification is not exposed to blood borne pathogens (blood or bodily fluids) while performing job duties

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• Normally works in climate controlled office environment

• Frequent sitting with movement throughout office space

• Occasional contact with aggressive and or combative patients

• Use of computers throughout the work day

• Frequent use of keyboard with repetitive motion of hands wrists and fingers
