As a Complex Procedural Scheduler youll play a vital role in coordinating essential appointments procedures and treatmentsensuring every patient receives timely seamless and compassionate care.

What Youll Do

As a Complex Procedural Scheduler you will:

Coordinate Patient Scheduling

  • Accurately schedule exams procedures surgeries treatments and follow-ups according to department and provider guidelines.

  • Communicate exam prep instructions clearly and ensure patients understand next steps.

  • Coordinate multi-step cancer treatment plans including clinic visits labs imaging infusions and radiationsequenced correctly and on time.

Support Multidisciplinary Care

  • Schedule pre-surgical appointments cardiac cath lab electrophysiology imaging and all post-operative visits.

  • Ensure patients have pre-procedural clearances and all necessary paperwork completed ahead of time.

  • Maintain smooth communication between patients providers and specialty departments.

Operational & Administrative Excellence

  • Coordinate resources to ensure proper use of operating room EP and cath lab block time equipment and supplies.

  • Support operating room block utilization goals (75% used block time) and release unused blocks per guidelines.

  • Maintain databases reduce duplicate accounts and ensure accuracy of patient information.

  • Assist with onboarding and cross-training of new team members.

  • Collaborate with leadership and clinic staff to support daily operations and maintain workflow efficiency.

Service & Professional Standards

  • Maintain patient privacy and strict confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA.

  • Communicate professionally clearly and calmlyeven during periods of high patient volume or stress.

  • Demonstrate reliability dependability and consistent attendance.

What Youll Bring (Qualifications)

We welcome a variety of backgrounds and experiences. The ideal candidate will have:

  • Posthigh school education or vocational training in healthcare.

  • Healthcare or customer service experience.

  • Knowledge of medical terminology.

  • Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office; ability to learn new software.

  • Ability to type 45 WPM (highly preferred).

  • Exceptional organizational skills attention to detail and strong critical thinking abilities.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks work independently and thrive in a team environment.

  • Professional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to support diverse audiences.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with professionalism tact and discretion when handling sensitive or confidential information.

Shift:

Day Shift - 10 Hours (United States of America)

Logan Health operates 24 hours per day seven days per week. Schedules are set to accommodate the requirements of the position and the needs of the organization and may be adjusted as needed.

PRN positions (also referred to as Casual As Needed or Per Diem) at Logan Health offer flexibility and are designed to provide coverage during busy periods employee absences and vacations making them an excellent opportunity to support the team as needed. PRN employees can participate in a matching 401(k) plan and have access to the Employee Assistance Program. Additionally they may qualify for hourly differential pay for certain shifts or hours offering extra compensation based on department-specific scheduling needs.Pay rates and scheduling practices may vary by department.
