In a high performing team focussed on successfully planning configuring and responding to the challenges of the Integrated Water Supply Scheme (IWSS).

Join the Corporations Integrated Operations team where you will apply your skills and experience in water scheme operations to plan across our major IWSS assets including desalination groundwater and Surface water to ensure safe drinking water is supplied to our customers.

This unique role represents an incredible opportunity to learn and develop your own knowledge to become a technical leader in water scheme operation working with a wide variety of stakeholders and influencing business critical decisions on asset investment to find better solutions.

The role is based in the Perth metropolitan area with some ability to get out to see the assets.

The working hours are 76 hours per fortnight with the ability to join the duty supervisor roster for afterhours technical scheme support.

What you can expect with this role

  • Perform the activities of a planner within the Corporations Integrated Operations business unit working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to enable the Annual Operating plan.
  • Develop and maintain specialist knowledge in the operation and maintenance of the Integrated Water Supply Scheme including new and existing Desalination Groundwater and Surface water sources.
  • Lead the development and implementation of long and short interval Operations and Maintenance plans to achieve the best outcome for the Corporation.
  • Develop operational planning and decision support tools to optimise daily system operations.

Your skills and experience

For this role we are looking for great talent with:

  • Tertiary qualification (e.g. diploma advanced diploma associate degree or bachelors degree)AND/OR
  • Significant experience in planning and operation of water supply schemes within multifaceted organisations.
  • Considerable experience in critical review of technical documentation / procedures and/or preparing of technical reports.
  • Considerable experience in training collaborating and upskilling of others.
  • Demonstrated relationship management interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated computing skills and knowledge of applications including Microsoft suite and other water resource applications.
