Lead and motivate a team of catering staff
Provide training guidance and performance evaluations to ensure a high-performing and cohesive team.
Plan and coordinate catering services for a variety of events
Collaborate with clients to understand their specific requirements and preferences.
Create and update diverse menus that cater to different tastes dietary restrictions and cultural preferences.
Work closely with chefs to ensure the highest quality of food and presentation.
Develop and manage catering budgets ensuring cost-effectiveness and profitability.
Monitor expenses negotiate supplier contracts and identify opportunities for cost savings.
Maintain strict quality control measures to ensure the consistency and excellence of catering services.
Conduct regular inspections and evaluations to uphold hygiene and safety standards.
Grade 12
Minimum 5 years relevant experience
Valid drivers license and own transport essential
Must be able to assist with menu development and function menus and daily meal presentation of a high quality and standard.
Be computer literate in excel and word
Understanding of costings ordering and management of stock
Able to work long hours weekends and shift work as part of your management duties. This will include public holidays and weekends.
