A major academic health system in New York City is seeking a fellowship-trained GI/Liver Pathologist to join its dynamic surgical pathology team. This position combines diagnostic service teaching and research within a leading academic environment. The successful candidate will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams mentor medical trainees and contribute to clinical and translational research.

Key Responsibilities
Provide diagnostic expertise in GI and liver pathology within a subspecialized practice model
Participate in teaching programs for residents fellows and medical students
Collaborate with clinical teams on multidisciplinary case reviews and treatment planning
Engage in academic research and scholarly activity aligned with institutional goals
Contribute to departmental initiatives promoting quality improvement and innovation

Qualifications
Required
MD or DO with Board Certification in Anatomic Pathology
Fellowship training in GI/Liver Pathology
Eligibility for medical licensure in the State of New York
Demonstrated excellence in diagnostic pathology and medical education

Preferred
Experience in translational or collaborative research
Academic faculty experience at the Assistant or Associate Professor level

Compensation and Benefits
Base Salary: $250000 $375000 (based on experience)
