About the Role

Were looking for a highly creative Social Media Executive who is confident both behind the camera and in front of it. This role is focused on producing lo-fi social-first content shooting editing and jumping on-camera to create relatable trend-led videos for TikTok Instagram Reels YouTube Shorts and Meta. Youll be a core face of ShopBacks social presence bringing ideas to life quickly in an authentic platform-native way. Working closely with the Content Manager and Social team youll help elevate ShopBacks brand across channels with content that feels real fun and culturally relevant.

This position operates in a hybrid model with required on-site work at our Sydney office. Please ensure you are Sydney-based or open to relocating as part of your application.

Key Responsibilities

    • Lo-Fi Content Production & On-Camera Creation
    • Act as on-camera talent for TikToks Reels and other short-form videos bringing personality humour and energy.
    • Lead end-to-end lo-fi content creation: ideation scripting shooting (mobile-first) editing captioning and publishing.
    • Film quick-turnaround videos using phone-based setups trending formats and social-native styles.
    • Develop concepts and rough storyboards suited for rapid scrappy production.
    • Ensure all content feels authentic timely and aligned with platform trends.

    • Social Media Execution
    • Collaborate with Content Manage to plan and deliver a consistent flow of content across channels.
    • Optimise content performance using insights analytics and social trends.
    • Support community engagement when needed to maintain active and responsive social channels.

    • Campaign Support & Collaboration
    • Work with internal teams influencers and colleagues to film or appear in collaborative lo-fi content.
    • Assist influencer and UGC initiatives with filming directing or editing support.
    • Collaborate with external brands and partnership stakeholders to produce lo-fi content for key campaigns.

    • Innovation & Creative Growth
    • Stay on top of platform trends audio trends editing styles and cultural moments.
    • Experiment with new lo-fi formats and storytelling styles to maximise reach and engagement.
    • Proactively pitch fresh ideas and quick prototypes to elevate ShopBacks social presence.

Requirements

    • 2- 5 years experience in social media content creation UGC-style content or short-form video production.
    • Strong skills in filming editing and mobile-first content creation.
    • Confident being on camera bringing personality humour and relatability to videos.
    • Proficiency with mobile editing tools (such as CapCut Canva and Descript) or lightweight desktop tools.
    • Deep understanding of TikTok Reels and YouTube Shorts trends formats and behaviours.
    • Fast-moving self-starter with the ability to create high volumes of content quickly.
    • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
    • Passion for social culture trends and creating content that feels current fun and engaging.
    • AI Adoption: Demonstrated use of AI tools (e.g. ChatGPT Cursor) to develop new or improve workflows enhance productivity and drive efficiency at scale
