DescriptionThe Credit Risk Associate will be responsible for conducting in-depth credit risk analysis of corporate clients within the Underwriting Center team for the Commercial Banking division supporting North America. The role involves preparing credit analysis reports recommending risk grades and collaborating closely with underwriters and credit executives to ensure robust risk management for middle market client.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently prepare comprehensive credit risk analysis reports for assigned clients focusing on business and financial analysis for middle market clients (exposure less than $55mm).
- Recommend rating grades based on detailed analysis.
- Review and quality check work delivered by junior analysts ensuring adherence to credit analysis standards and methodologies.
- Analyze financial statements credit history management financial adjustments and firms credit-related policies.
- Develop and maintain strong communication with underwriters and credit executives; lead calls and discussions regarding client ratings.
- Build and maintain strong knowledge of credit analysis techniques sector trends and global economic factors.
- Manage stakeholder relationships ensuring open communication channels with credit officers and executives.
Required Qualifications
- MBA (Finance specialization) or Chartered Accountant (CA).
- 45 years of experience in credit risk analysis.
- Excellent academic record with proven experience in credit risk.
- Strong understanding of corporate finance concepts and their practical application.
- Proficient in analyzing financial statements including ratio analysis cash flow analysis and accounting standards.
- Strong communication skills (oral and written) with the ability to present analysis and interact with global credit bankers.
- Proficient in MS Word Excel and PowerPoint.
- Deadline-oriented with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work proactively and independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with global credit bankers or in a multinational environment.
- Aptitude for learning and developing knowledge in credit analysis techniques sector trends and global economies.
