The Financial Support Specialist I performs highly responsible administrative and technical duties to support the activities of the department.
Answers telephone and greet visitors; provides information or refers inquiries to appropriate personnel; routes incoming calls and records messages; responds to emails and faxes as necessary.
Utilizes computerized data entry equipment and various word processing and file maintenance programs to enter store and/or retrieve information; maintains pertinent files and records; scans and copies documents as necessary; ensures files are complete and accurate.
Processes ingoing and outgoing mail including preparing photocopies and collating materials; distributes mail to appropriate department or employee.
Regular and punctual attendance is required.
Greets probationers and their families for appointments.
Enters data on system for county programs.
Determines fee application tracks related payments and posts payments to juvenile cases.
Enters program data for each probationer program date amount and attendance.
Prepares daily collection report and daily county deposits; processes invoices; prepares weekly collection report and disbursement report.
Places and receives purchase orders; posts figures and reconciles balances; assists with payroll as necessary; oversees accounts receivable and accounts payable.
Performs other related duties as required.
High School Diploma or GED and minimum one year of experience in a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and related experience required.
