100% FTE Days. Hours are from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm Monday through Friday with a weekly on-call rotation. You will work at the University Hospital in Madison WI.

We are seeking a Lead Maintenance Technician to:

Serve as a point of contact for UW Health Maintenance and Engineering Control Room located at University Hospital.
Train new staff and provide ongoing training for existing staff.
Assign and monitor the progress of maintenance technicians and contractors and provide guidance to them.
Be highly customer focused responsive and extremely reliable.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent Required
Two year technical diploma Required

Work Experience

4 years mechanical maintenance experience or formal training Required
4 years mechanical maintenance experience or formal training in a healthcare setting Preferred

Licenses & Certifications

Senior Mechanic 1 or Building Operators Certification Preferred
If position requires driving a company vehicle the following requirements apply:
Must be 21 years of age to drive a UW Health Fleet vehicle and must be 25 years of age to drive a UW Health vehicle rated for 15 or more passengers
Ability to be insured by Hospitals risk management insurer which requires (1) a valid Wisconsin Drivers License and (2) successfully passing a driving background check Required
Valid drivers license Required
