Job Summary

Roles and Responsibilities:

Develop and execute global procurement strategies for assigned categories balancing cost performance goals with quality standards.
Lead and develop a team to manage sourcing processes and achieve category objectives.
Drive strategic procurement initiatives including supplier performance management risk mitigation and capacity planning.
Establish and manage contractual agreements including pricing quality and master supplier agreements.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders and suppliers to drive innovation and support new product introductions.
Create and implement annual cost reduction plans to meet corporate objectives.
Support plant purchasing by implementing lean sourcing principles to optimize inventory and ensure material availability.
Conduct strategic supplier business reviews and manage supplier scorecards.
Lead the Supply Chain Risk Management (SCRM) program for assigned categories developing mitigation plans for identified risks.
Mentor colleagues and drive continuous improvement in supply chain processes and performance.

Qualifications :

Skill/Job Requirements:

Bachelors degree or equivalent and 10 years of purchasing experience in a regulated industry manufacturing environment (medical device preferred). Masters degree preferred.
Proven track record in strategic sourcing across a global supply base with experience in developing and implementing category strategies
Demonstrated people management skills and cross-functional team leadership experience
Proficiency in MS Office ERP systems and project management in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Thorough knowledge of lean principles and experience with kanban systems
Strong verbal and written communication skills with excellent negotiation abilities and a history of achieving cost savings
Working knowledge of buying material planning master scheduling and forecasting
Ability to handle multiple tasks adapt to changing priorities and consistently achieve challenging goals
