The Role

We are looking for Cloud Engineers who want to establish their careers in the highly in-demand field of cloud computing.

As a Stratpoint Cloud Engineer you will help customers design build and operate their cloud infrastructure.

Your Team

• You will be reporting to the Service Delivery Manager and Technical Leads
• You will work closely with customers / third party vendors / onshore counterparts to meet the success criteria for projects.

Your Responsibilities

• Respond to client support queries.
• Provide support over the phone email or via remote access.
• Communicate to customers through a series of actions to resolve a problem.
• Manage multiple cases and provide timely and accurate customer feedback.
• Follow-up with clients to ensure the problem is resolved.
• Complete support tickets.
• Work on multiple cloud migration and optimization projects including the migration of complex multi-tier applications on different Cloud Platforms (e.g. Amazon Web Services Google Cloud Microsoft Azure)
• Manage cloud infrastructure following our best practices technology frameworks and documentation standards
• Work on rotating shifts which includes (mid night weekends) to cover 24 x 7 operations
• Any other duties and responsibilities that may be assigned

About You
You are/have:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science / IT / Computing / Business or equivalent
• Experience in IT Related domain
• Excellent communication and technical troubleshooting skills
• Strong interpersonal skills such as communication and active listening

Nice to have:

• Knowledgeable in containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes
• Knowledgeable in AWS GCP Azure
• Knowledgeable in basic network and security fundamentals e.g. understanding of networking protocols & applications (TCP/IP load balancing port forwarding firewalls etc.)
• Experience with AWS-based deployments and related services (RDS EC2 Lambda S3 etc.)
• Confident in participating in architectural discussions reviews and providing recommendations
• Understanding of coding or scripting languages on at least two of the following: Ruby Python Java Javascript Bash Script Go PHP
• Familiarity with version control experience (Git Gitlab GitHub)
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins Bamboo AWS CodePipelines TravisCI Gitlab)
• Good grasp of networking principles and debugging
• Ability to communicate and work well with the rest of the CCoE team subject matter experts (SMEs) and clients
• Understanding and appreciation of the business value of Going to the Cloud
• On-premise experience can also be considered
