Job Description Summary: The main object and purpose of this position is to generate sales growth and profits for the satellite in accordance with the corporate sales vision and for the coordination of the sales activities. The incumbent is responsible for the development and coaching of the satellite team and the organization of training programs while promoting ALCs safety and quality objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Sells and negotiates: Assumes responsibility for sales and profitability targets and ensures the implementation of pricing and discount policies. Covers the existing customer territories and prospects potential customers. Assists the Account Executive in visiting customers when necessary. Communicates with customers in order to obtain a clear and precise idea of their requirements and respects appropriate sales procedures.
Coordinates sales and price management activities with Sales Manager: Works in collaboration with Sales Manager to determine and implement the local targets for satellite sales that align with corporate objectives. Reviews sales reports identifies non-profitable accounts and makes the necessary pricing or supply corrections. Develops sales campaigns and supports approved sales promotions from suppliers and in-house directives. Reviews sales reports indicating sales growth trends and other information in order to take appropriate corrective measures.
Assumes responsibility for accounts receivable: Maintains satellites accounts receivable within targeted collaboration with the Administration Supervisor ensures that the credit policy is followed by all team members and approves the credit application of new customers. Facilitates efforts for collection of outstanding balances. Assists accounts payable service in attaining Regional Center objectives.
Coordinates satellites activities: Works with Supply Chain Supervisor to ensure efficient management of distribution and transportation. Makes sure that the satellites inventory levels are sufficient to meet customer requirements and corporate objectives. Ensures respect of distribution schedules. Helps in solving problems related to customers cylinder management as well as the collecting of accounts receivable. Coordinates work distribution for team members and establishes objectives for each.
Quality / Safety: Actively promotes ALC safety objectives. Knows and respects all procedures as indicated in ALC Quality Manual. Make sure the appropriate corrective and preventive measures are in place in order to answer customer complaints. Adheres to and follows Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) as it pertains to medical gases and medical devices within the scope of their role.
Manages and optimizes logistics resources: Implements and improves supply structures in keeping with organizational objectives. Supervises the staffs planning and coordination regarding the distribution of cylinders and welding products. Supervises and adjusts supplies from the supplier to the customer in order to optimize stock levels. Makes a critical analysis of the demand and ensures the allocation of materials and products accordingly.
Provides coaching and development of the team: Motivates and helps each person in the supply chain group (drivers dispatchers storekeepers etc.) by making sure that each member has the skills training and resources needed to operate autonomously. Shares the objectives to be attained and takes the necessary measures to ensure their execution fulfillment. Proceeds to performance evaluations of team members. Keeps informed about industry developments and shares his/her experience and know-how.
Process improvement: Works with his/her team as well as with multifunctional teams to continuously improve the work process. Continuously analyzes the functioning of the activity identifies causes of problems and proposes corrective measures accordingly.
Required Qualifications
Degree: Post-secondary degree or combination of education and experience in compressed gases welding and industrial products.
Experience: 5 years of relevant experience including experience in personnel management.
Knowledge: Quality system (ISO) proficiency in Google applications (Docs Sheets) or MS Office (Word Excel) very good verbal and written communication skills.
