FSS Recreation DSP-MKS
The FSS Recreation DSP provides oversight and assistance at FSS sponsored group programming including large group and one-on-one assistance to individuals with a disability in various community settings. The leader is responsible for the planning and implementation of group activities in accordance with corresponding FSS contracted grant. Additionally the leader is responsible for overseeing staff and volunteers to ensure adequate supervision during program time. Leaders provide safe supportive and quality service in keeping with ARISEs mission and philosophy.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent
One (1) year of previous work or life experience teaching daily living skills/providing supports to individuals with disabilities
Must complete background checks as required including OPWDD/Justice Center fingerprinting child abuse and sex offender registries
Have and maintain clean NYS Driver License
Ability to plan and schedule tasks/activities
Meet the physical demands (walking bending lifting assisting participants with washing hands and toileting exerting 50 pounds of force to assist with lifts transfers and other hygiene needs)
Background check fingerprinting and DMV record check will be conducted prior to hire by the non-profit agency.
