Position Overview
We are seeking a Project Manager & Estimator with experience in structural concrete to manage projects from preconstruction through completion. This dual-role position is ideal for a candidate who can confidently handle both field execution and estimating responsibilities contributing to successful project delivery while helping win future work.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management - Structural Concrete & Masonry
- Lead project execution for multi-level concrete structures site paving seismic improvements and other scopes
- Develop and manage project schedules budgets manpower planning and procurement
- Coordinate daily operations with superintendents foremen subcontractors and vendors
- Oversee project documentation: RFIs submittals daily logs change orders and concrete pour logs
- Maintain safety quality and compliance on site including inspections and materials testing
- Ensure accurate layout formwork rebar installation embed placement and pour sequencing
- Collaborate with GCs owners and inspectors to resolve issues and maintain project momentum
Estimating & Preconstruction
- Review architectural and structural plans specifications and site conditions to develop accurate cost estimates
- Perform digital takeoffs using On-Screen Takeoff (or similar tools) to determine material labor and equipment needs
- Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes to ensure competitive pricing
- Prepare detailed bid proposals budgets and supporting documentation for internal and client use
- Identify risks cost-saving opportunities and value engineering options
- Participate in bid reviews and handoff meetings to support seamless project transitions
Who You Are
- Organized analytical and proactive with strong communication and leadership skills
- Able to balance office-based estimating duties with field-based project management tasks
- Comfortable collaborating with both internal teams and external partners (GCs owners inspectors)
- A problem-solver who can keep projects on track and under budget
Qualifications
- 2 years of estimating experience in structural concrete (field experience preferred)
- Proficient in On-Screen Takeoff or similar takeoff software
- Strong working knowledge of construction drawings concrete systems and field operations
- Skilled in Microsoft Excel Word Outlook
- Associate degree or higher preferred (or equivalent work experience)
- Valid drivers license; ability to commute or relocate prior to start date
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $100000 - $125000 DOE
