Contract Type:Casual
Working Hours:0 hours per week on a casual As & When Required Basic

The role will be working as part of a small team of Activity Coordinators to promote personalisation with a strong focus on reablement while assisting in achieving the delivery of outcomes for service users within our extra care complex.

You will be responsible for assisting the management of reablement plans supporting service users to be as independent as possible completing a variety of activities and assessments to determine progress. The end outcome will be for service users to regain lost skills build confidence or learn new skills so when they return home they have the best possible chance of remaining at home.

The role will be responsible for supporting and assisting service users with all aspects of their daily living needs including moving and handling whilst promoting social stimulation and motivation. The role will be responsible for building appropriate relationships to ensure Caring for Thurrock core values are met.

Core values include individuality independence choice dignity respect rights confidentiality and fulfilment which guarantees residents receives a high standard quality service.

The successful candidate will need to have good values and continually promote service user choice and control fulfilment respect privacy dignity rights and independence.

The post holder will need to be kind compassionate caring flexible and committed.

The successful candidate will need to have a professional attitude at all times and have knowledge of Reablement Dementia and Challenging behaviours.

Essential Qualifications:

The post holder will need to have completed or be committed to work towards completion of the Care Certificate within 12 months of start date. The post holder will also need to be committed to complete their Diploma in Health and Social Care following successful probation.

DBS Check:Enhanced with Adults Barred list is required for this post.
